Here in the 19th century, New
York sportsman, Charles Reed, of Saratoga, acquired through
settlement of a gambling this 2,000 acre former plantation, acquired
the most famous racehorse stud in the world, St. Blaise, and built a
series of barns and stables to breed and train race horses.
